Shohei Ohtani just signed the biggest sport's contract of all time. Ohtani just signed a 10-year contract worth a whopping $700 million dollars.
Ohtani is only player who is a two-way player in the MLB. He is able to pitch and hit in the MLB, which is unheard of today. He is also an MVP and majority of MLB fans believe he is the best player in the entire league.
Ohtani also shocked the world again when it was said he will defer $680 million dollars from the $700 million he is supposed to get paid.
The Dodgers would have been paying Ohtani more annually then 6 other MLB teams were going to pay their whole roster.
Shohei's new teammate Mookie Betts also has a very large contract with the Dodgers. Together the Dodgers will pay both of these players over 1 billion dollars.
